Hi,

16th October is nearly here. If you are interested (weather dependant or not) could you register on the calendar. This is so i can figure out how much space we might need reserving.

www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=1258

It's a casual get together of any sports cars. It has no club tie-in's but they are very welcome. Some or the car clubs are having there meetings there. You can get a idea of the event by checking out previous pictures.

www.carsinthepark.org.uk

The venue will be Bolton abbey, nr Skipton, Yorkshire as it has very good facilities and THERE entrance is £5. The roads around the abbey are brilliant driving roads as well.

Its about having a look at all the cars. So don't be put off by someone taking a really close look at your P&J.

Look out for the sign's that point the way once you get into the abbey site. There's a logo on the site you can print off and display.

Hope to see you there.

Cheers
Chris

TVRCC are planning next years main events

Sorry rich, got your message. Just struggling for time at the moment. Do you have a list of next year TVR meets. There will only be two next year. One may and one in october, mid year there's just too much going on. Instead i will try to tie in the Classic car show at harewood on fathers day.

Would be nice if you could make it.

Could you send me a copy of the TVR car club meets for next year. So i can pick a few spare days. It would help cos i have to check a few other car clubs as well. As mentioned there will only be two next year. One may and one in october. I'll try to get some tickets organised for the Harwood house classic car show as well.

Still worth the effort as a large variety of cars/people turn up.

I think you put the finishing touches on last time when you welcomed us all in, good on yer.

I know these things can be an effort on a Sunday morning. So I am just trying to make everyone welcome.

Any thoughts on a new venue? Bolton Abbey has been done now. There are other venues with more to offer the day visitor. How about Harewood House on the grass in front house. I'm sure they would be willing to negotiate considering the number of cars that regularly come to these meets.

The event is very hit and miss regarding attendance. The last one was cancelled due to lack of interest.
I am happy to try harewood again but i get the opinion that the expect people to pay full entrance. The front of the house is a NO NO. The best they could do was about £5 a PERSON and in the north field. I was hoping to get a couple of years of attendance. This would make negotiating a lot easier. So i will try harder next year to get different venues. The event as the name suggest would move around. The downside being i have two companys to run. This is a hobby/fun and i have limited time to organise.

The downside/upside with bolton is that there happy for the business and don't care if 15 cars or 150 cars turn up. Other venues seem to want money up front. Bolton also allows BBQ's whilst harewood dosn't. So if the weather is bad an it's a no show. All bolton has lost is a bit of tape to mark the reserved parking.

I will try harder. In the mean time if you are planning on attending then please add your name to the Calendar. If you bringing a group then put this in the comments. More people more ammo for negotiating.

Cheers
chris

Note to self. Must try harder to get different venue

The event is on. So if you intend to come put your name of the calendar. It lets people know they won't be the only person there

Its a car nuts gathering, so your megane pack are very welcome.

Ill try to be there for 10ish and most people start arriving after. Most getting there before dinner time. Depending on how far people have to travel.

Looking forward to another good meet. The variety gets better every meet
