My 2CV race photos from Team PH #1
Discussion
3 of us turned up on Friday morning for testing, to find our garage lacking something pretty important for a 24 hour motor race - namely a race car!
This eventually turned up a few hours later...
First job was to fit an air filter (then another, when the first fell off during the first lap of testing)
One of the next jobs was to fit a new windscreen as the original was cracked. Tank tape, and a bit of brute force from Iain (chassis_33) saw the screen removed.
Not something you see everyday - a 2CV being set up on a set of corner weight scales!
Team manager, chief mechanic and now expert 2CV rebuilder Charlie checks tyre pressures while James gets ready to head out for his night qualifying session.
James heading out into the darkness...
"Errrr.... where does this plug into?" Iain helps rebuild the car from the ground up...
If you hadn't worked it out already, it was WET! Iain uses high-tech F1 technology to keep his race boots dry!
We managed to get up to 16th at one point!!
Night time pitstop/driver change. PetrolTed is being strapped in and fed pies.
Morning saw engine problems and several pitstops...
One 2CV - slightly damp and a touch worn round the edges!

Ps Well done Ed for getting a photo showing my face in every other photo from the weekend I seem to be lost in the engine bay repairing something....
I think I must have caught you during the 30 seconds during the whole weekend where you weren't actually repairing something Charlie
