PH Sunday Service - August 3rd

It's time to worship at the Church of PistonHeads again...

It’s been a while but the PH Sunday Service is back! Those of you who turned up in East Sussex last February for the previous event will know that it exceeded all expectations. The next one is at Haynes International Motor Museum on August 3 and you can expect the same mix of metal, chat and general motoring mumblings.

The Sunday Service takes place in the main car park of the museum, which is situated at Sparkford Somerset and is surrounded by some great driving roads. It is the largest international motor museum in Britain and features more than 340 cars and bikes dating from 1886 to the present day.

On the day of the Sunday Service there is also a special supercars exhibition with over £2m of cars on display for the first time at the museum. The Sunday Service is free and will start at 10am although PHers who bring their cars do get a discounted entry to the museum of £5.50 if they wish to have a look around. Food and drink will be available to buy at the museum café.

If you would like to come down register your interest on the thread below so that we have an idea of numbers…

banghead

When it's in Sussex, I'm in the Midlands.

When I'm going to be in Kent - right next door to Sussex - it's in Somerset!!!

Yes,cool,great,fantastic........yet another pistonheads meet thats down south, maybe we should start a pistonheads/northern division as they dont seem be interested in anyone north of the Watford gap!
There was a Gaydon meet a year or so ago, unfortunately the weather was mediocre and a lot of people didn't bother...

...so they haven't done another one.

But as said above, if you want to research a few venues, find out who'd be prepared to put us up, then advertise it, go right ahead...

gaydon is not exactly in the north is it?

what about a proper northern meet?, were poor up here and the roads are cobbled - probably the most off road you shandy swilling southerers will have been in your chelsea tractors.....
so we can be doing 600+ mile trips to somerset.
Look, if you can't be bothered to live in civilisation then I've no sympathy at all! Orville and Wilbur invented the plane over 100 years ago and some people still aren't happy...wink

And anyway, you've got all (well, 80%) of the best driving roads...you hardly need an excuse to go for a drive. Think of all those poor Londoners who need to drive 20 miles just to see an NSL sign on a single-carriageway, and another 20 to lose the queue of reps in front of them doing a constant 50 regardless of the limit.

In fact, I think we should start a charity - CityBoyAid (or CBA for short!wink) - please donate just a litre of petrol to help a poor 911 Turbo owner reach a suitable road for once in his over-coiffeured life!
