here you go its a fiesta with a 2.5 24v V6 ST24 ENGINE in the rear oh and a turbo i did have a metro before with a cossie in it but have since sold it i used a big charge cooler before because of little air flow but its very expensive just wondering if an inline intercooler might work just in heat dissipation alone ???

Hi mate nice car.
I also have a similar car a polo with a mid mounted 20v turbo motor. I run a big charge cooler on mine. I have seen a few other projects that use intercoolers in the rear but they never work that well as they cant get enough air feed. The only one I have seen that worked well used a FMIC and routed the pipes through the cabin to the engine.
I think charge cooling would be best myself

cossiemetro thats amazing mate! did you build both cars?? ae there any kits or anything out for them (i know of the Z-cars mini stuff)?? how much power are you making??
as for the intercooling idea, how about methanol injection?? i have seen it used in a mig mounted V8 turbo and it worked ok for him. all you need is a meth injection kit (try the US as there are plenty and will be cheaper) and whats called a hobbs switch. pasicaly a presure switch so once yu are at full throttle and making boost themeth starts to spray. i think some kits even have multipul stages. should work well i think and would be eaiser than tryuing to fit an intercooler.
or you could tune the car to run on E85 and not bother!
Chris.

I have water/ methanol inj in my car also but as I mainly use it for drag racing so it doesnt get used .
I does work really well but I wouldnt use just methanol as it will eat seals etc and damage your engine. I run about 40% meth to 60% water and this is just because when you use nitrous you could start to freeze the water.
I know it will cost more i the first place but I still think charge cooling is your best option.

Cut two ducts just in front of the rear arches and run some ducting to an i/c in the engine bay like an F40. About your only option really. We experimented with a high mount rear cooler fed by a roof intake (similar to lotus exige) but was a major pain to set up.
The under body scoop is a nightmare as it collects all sorts of crap from the road, not to mention being a real pain for speed bumps or (more importantly) standing water.

its standard internals but in the states they are good for 400 bhp 12psi i'm going for 7-9 psi about 300ish bhp.
running an EMERALD ECU my turbo is a T04e i think, but its different as its at the rear of the exhaust not straight off manifolds like a normal setup so it should be cooler than normal to start with and i'm not running mad boost

Would you not get some lag from having the turbo further away from the manifold?running an EMERALD ECU my turbo is a T04e i think, but its different as its at the rear of the exhaust not straight off manifolds like a normal setup so it should be cooler than normal to start with and i'm not running mad boost
Although thinking about it you'll not be road driving this will you, so you'll be "on boost" all the time?
