......What's the plans for IVA and registration...
Quite a bit required...The switches on the steering wheel and the wheel itself will fail on sharp edges as will parts of the dash. Not wanting to be a killjoy but these thing need that planning.
Steve

now THAT is really starting to look good!!
it looks 500bhp without even moving ;-)
I havent seen the car close up, as i am working away - but I have spoken to a couple of people who have & they say the paint quality is second to none.it looks 500bhp without even moving ;-)
When I received those photos by email, my initial reaction when I opened the first one was Just WOW!!
To say I am pleased with the paint work is an under statement.
The full paint story is on the painters Facebook page.

It actually looks like a remote control car lol.
There certainly hasnt been a car like it. In some ways it looks all wrong, yet in others it looks superb. Just because it is so different to everything else.
The colour scheme is based on an origional livery design used on the stratos (olio fiat), all be it with a few personalisations for me.There certainly hasnt been a car like it. In some ways it looks all wrong, yet in others it looks superb. Just because it is so different to everything else.
Once it gets the spoilers & lamp pods it will look different again ...... Even Better!

I really want to see this out and about, I'm in Retford so you cant be far away?
I love the Stratos, there used to be one (a replica..) very local to me about 15-20 years ago that'd I'd see and hear now and again.
There is no one who wants to see this car out and about more than me, unfortunately there is still quite some jobs to do, as well as re-assembling everything, i still need to build the engine, and finish off one or two items.......I love the Stratos, there used to be one (a replica..) very local to me about 15-20 years ago that'd I'd see and hear now and again.
I am closer than you think, as I am in Retford! & if the replica you saw 15-20 years ago was red with black spoilers, then it was me...... small world isnt it!

When you see it broken down into so many photos, you can almost see the massive amount of hours that's gone into the bodywork !
Definitely some work there
A lot of work indeed - made worse by the fact there are so many individual parts to paint. Ok most of the smaller parts were a single colour, but there were 22 individual items to be painted!Definitely some work there
They had the car for 6 weeks - Ok when I dropped it off they were still finishing off another car, but I believe that Niki has spent over a month on my car.. His next project is another stratos replica also with a multi coloures livery..
Blimey, who'd have thoght. Your red one was awesome, or seemed it to a petrol head young lad!.
Last year (I think) I did actually see a Stratos coming out of a particular road on the other side of town which will be the one you're alluding to. Look forward to seeing this one about, I see on your website some mentions of Harewood Hill. I've go there now and again, would be great to see your new one going up there!
Cheers.
