Can anyone else with the ECU software confirm they see around 300rpm during cranking (my megasquirt does).
Also check that your sensor readings (tps/air temp) are still present during cranking - as there is a "live" that goes dead during cranking phase - maybe the ECU is miswired on this line.
Ill have a look at the weekend- Ive not tried RoverGauge at cranking speed. Also check that your sensor readings (tps/air temp) are still present during cranking - as there is a "live" that goes dead during cranking phase - maybe the ECU is miswired on this line.
I did mention the pump bit at the start of the diagnosis....
BTW a new version of RoverGauge has been released with some nice extras like long and short term fuel trim values for those running lambda probes:

Well, seems to be dodgy leccy connection, as I sprayed engine cleaner on all the terminals at the starter motor, and at the fuse boxes, and it fires into life perfectly! When it all dries, it then fails to start again.
Am now in process of cleaning all terminals, and giving the loom in the engine bay a general tidy-up and re-wrap.
And RoverGauge all works as expected when the engine is running. Such a good piece of kit.

hiya, new member with a 3.9 classic rangey,I have been reading this topic with great interest and would love to try this graphics interface and software, although I am not too clever with the computer! On the non srarter have you checked the rotor arm,as these often breakdown in the insulation department, just remove the dizzy cap and hold the coil lead above the rotor over the dizzy spindle. They should be no spark at all if the rotor arm is OK.If you get a spark the rotor arm is ******!Another problem I have come across is a starter fault, where the car wont start from cold because the starter is sapping too much juice, old spark plugs in combination and a flooded cylinder leaves next to no spark. If its a manual try tow starting the vehicle, obviously a no go if its auto!!anyway I hope you have some look, you will perhaps ear from me again at some stage, when I need help with this here software and stuff. Thanks to you all,V8gasguzzler!!
RoverGauge's development is covered here, its now a very useful bit of software. Drop me a mail and Ill send you the instruction manual so you can see how it works. Its specifically a tool for the 14CUX ECU and fuel injection and does not really cover the ignition side of things, as this is not ECU controlled.
