Sorry about the repost, tried this first in general gassing but little response so thought I would try a more technical forum:

Has anyone any experience of the Wolf brand of tools that sell mail order in the daily papers? Looking in particular at the engine hoists.
Cheers

No matter which make you go for they're all going to be very similar in design/build unless you pay a lot more for one. The Wolf cranes seem to have pretty small wheels though so bear this in mind if you'll be using it on a rough surface.

Havent seen the Wolf...but small wheels might indicate better ground clearance for fitting under low cars ???

Just don't like those extremely cheap castors which sit under the frame.

Don't think you'll have clearance problems with any of them really.

I'e got one, i bought it froma tools palce in nottingham. i've had it about 8 years now and is great. still too tall to fit under the race car though. had some big engines on it as well and its bloody heavy if you need to lift it into a car to lend it to your mate...lol
