What are the alternatives to the Innovate LC1? Are there any that can measure lambda and EGT in the same package?

Iain - I use a Zeitronix ..

Seems pretty good..

I have a dash board display of EGT and lambda .. the lambda value also feeds to my Emerald.

http://www.zeitronix.com/index.html

They also do a guage with the info but I prefered the display as it can be hidden away when you are not mapping.. thought having a guage was a bit chav.

Ive used FJO ( installed in my own car for past 6 years ) Innovate, and PLX.

My FJO has been pretty much faultless, so its been great.

Ive used the Innovate LC-1 and LM-1....LC-1 is a PITA to install, and can be troublesome, as sensors dont appear to last long.
LM-1 serves a different purpose given its size, but has same sensor issues as LC-1
That said, they do work.

Ive used PLX-M200 I think it is...oldish unit on a few cars. Never really had any problems with them. They too require sensor renewal after time, but nowhere near as often as Innovate.

I'd like to try the new PLX stuff, or the Zeitronix....as both look quite good

But TBH, there are that bloomin many widebands out there, its hard to know what to choose !!!
The best thing about the Innovate, is they are cheap !!, but prices for the others are catching up with them.

I have a VEMS wideband in a couple of projects. It's simple to install and self calibration is well worth having. smile

LC-1 uses the same LSU4.2 Bosch sensor as most of the others doesn't it?

Thanks folks, plenty of feedback to mull over there this weekend. Are there any setups out there that can trigger a warning light without needing a gauge? One that came on to warn I was running too lean an that's it, obviously with scope in the background to datalog and communicate with ECU's etc

If I had my way on the racer I'd have a warning light for coolant temperature, a bigger one for oil pressure, and a 3stage shift light. I'm not Michael Schumacher and can't process three different information feeds, talk to Jean Todt on the intercom and break, turn in, hit the apex consistently at the same time!

You'll have an issue with lean running at lift off on any of the systems so a little difficult to set up for a warning gauge. The VEMS unit is programmable to output various options that can be datalogged & it'll also double up as a factory lambda too.
