A low rpm stutter when on wide open throttle? I can appreciate how it works when the car is idling, but is it possible that a faulty Idle Air Control Valve would cause a problem when a car is on wide open throttle? Say between 1000rpm and 1500rpm.

Cheers

Mondeo 2.5 V6, I have googled the problem and some people seem insistent that the IACV could be at fault. If a plug, lead or coil pack was at fault id have thought it would stutter all over the rev range? Regardless, I will recommend to my friend he clean it and change all plugs and leads.

Any IACV problems would have negligable effect on WOT running.

Would a vacuum leak or split hose be of any relevance?
