Minor stuff recently

Relocated header tank and Roger's gone a bit Blue Peter with the foam

big pipework down to air intakes

oil filters with integrated fans (one each side behind the foglights)

Car went to Janspeed last week for the exhaust. Won't be back for a week or so I expect....

Yes, it will be very interesting to see what stock parts hold up to 3x the power. Radiator, trans, diff, half shafts etc smile
Plenty of options including harrop 12 bolt housings and billet shafts etc to play with if needs be.
Well done Mr Oz and Mr Fish.
Making some efforts on this aspect. Replacement half shafts are here (I think). Stronger Harrop diff on the boat. Will leave gearbox for themoment and see how long it lasts.

I know that thing will be thirsty, but why such a huge tank? That's a vast amount of weight to have hanging over the back end (or is it a cunning traction plan? scratchchin )
Original thought was that the stock tank is too small, so this was a chance to make a larger tank. I said to Roger fill the space we've created in the boot and this was what turned out. If I'd been asked what size makes sense I doubt I would have said 150L, but hey, its there now, and there might be traction benefitsdriving

WOW lovig this thread and hope you see it @ VMAX in October?
Yes, would be cool to get it to Vmax this year to see what she'll do. I suspect though that the Forces of Darkness (TM) will conspire to ensure that either a part wont arrive, something will break, or something wont work in the next 2 months! Hey ho...

Week 12(?) losing count....

Its painful waiting for people to carry out work, particularly when they do one thing (that is not much) and say they're doing osmething else. Stil, thats life. I can only hope that the work itself is worth the wait. She will be due back to Rogers on Monday, then the install can commence. On the positive side, all the parts are heresmile

You will need to seriously look into heat management around those manifolds, plug leads etc.
I hear they run better on the dyno with the bonnet up, so figured to get rid of the bonnet altogether

Harry - how much longer do you think it's going to take for the rest of the installation/mapping etc ?

Simon
Ha, it doesnt matter what I think, only what Roger can deliver. I set him a target to finish in time to run at vmax on 11/11 though. Lets see

Nice to see it coming together but to me that looks like a chargecooler rad rather than an intercooler one as those outlets look every small - correct ?

Keep up the good work clap
You're right of course. One mans chargecooler is another mans air to water intercooler

Fair enough, so that leads to the next question, if space is soo tight where have you managed to find the room for the heat exchanger(s)
Aha! They're in the plenum. A custom design of Mikes, incorporating a twin throttle body, the heat exchangers, water injection and twin injectors (if we need to up the fuel flow).
With all that going on let's hope it works!
