Off Topic.

I once followed a police van up the M3 doing around 90mph without the lights flashing or siren sounding, normally I would never go over 70 but I was curious why this police van was breaking the law. after a while the lights came on but it didn't really put my off and so the light want off again haha.

  • drivers who go all the way to the cones (at roadworks etc) before trying to cut in and especially those who give you the bird when you dont let them - Jeez, they've had 800 yards to get in
  • motorbikes cutting down the middle..

grrrr

we've had the 'merge in turn' versus 'queue up half a mile before and don't let anyone in' discussion before.
and what is the problem with bikes filtering? (as long as they don't hit you) do you get annoyed by pedestrians walking past or aeroplanes flying overhead when you are sat in stationary traffic?

people on a main road in a traffic jam who block all the side exits so you end up sitting there as long as they do

Reminded me of another one.... people who stop on yellow hatch lines blocking every road in every direction, normally on the Leisure Centre roundabout in Windsor!

I can see people getting a bit stressed, I'm thinking I probably shouldn't have started this thread

My pet hates are:-

1. Those who dont bloody indicate in time for others to take action, ie approach junction 3mtrs away, indicate left.

2. Those who dont indicate at all at junctions and roundabouts, and

3. Those who are coming down a slip road onto a dual carriageway/motorway, and think they have gods gift to the right of way, and expect you, already on the carriageway TO LET them in.

4. Oh last one, the numpty on the carriageway who thinks "I'l pull over to this nice chap on the slip road can get in", pulls over, and causes you, whom are going faster in the other lane to slow down, usually quite drastically.

5. Oh and one more, as I sit in cruise control at 70 approaching a camera, plonker zings past me, pulls in front of me, sees the camera and jumps on the anchors, causing me to jump on mine.................

Rant over.

1. Yep, I'm totally conviced that BMW's don't actually have any bulbs in thier indicators, neither do expensive 4x4's, (mostly Range Rovers and x5's).

2. What's the deal with people ceasing to indicate once they enter a supermarket car-park, what, aren't there any other cars in there?

3. People who indicate right when they're goin straight on at a roundabout!

4. Pedestrians who walk up to traffic crossings gazing at the floor whilst pressing the button, only to look up and see there's no traffic in the immediate area, so cross while the lights are still on green. Then as we arrive having watched the numpty reach the other side AND get about 50yds along the pavement , the lights turn red and everyone has to stop to watch the invisible man cross the road!!!!!!"Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgh!"

(o.k. not really a driving trait as such, but like I said, "Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgh!!!"

People who don't realise they have a handbrake! Seems like almost everybody these days waits in a queue using the footbrake. That used to be ok with the average car but with larger cars the rear lights are at eye level. It's ignorant.

This is probably more prevelent to automatic's, to be honest, I do it myself in my auto, but the car behind me is usually so close, he wouldn't even see my brake lights. And I guess the car in front at lights, does it so he can make a quick get a way when the green comes up.

My 3 hates are as follows:

1. People who hog middle and outside lane and don't pull in to let you past
2. People that can't indicate wether they are turning or not
3. Car drivers who can't accept that bikes are quicker and don't pull over to let you past or pull over to block you when filtering

I know my last one is sore point but I ride a Suzuki Hayabusa with 173bhp at the rear wheel and by the time cars drift halfway from outside lane into middle once they decide to let me past I'm gone so they don't lose their precious place more consideration please!!!!

ps used to hate BMW style parking aswell eg across 2 bays but Ive started doing that aswell now.. wo betide those who dare touch my baby with their doors

I dont supose half the cars even know your behind them, how many bother checking the rear view mirror whilst driving, other then just before, or even half way through a lane change. And YES lack of indicators drives me insane.
