"Sod that, if I wanted fuel economy I would have bought a Prius and no matter what you do, fuel consumption will be crap compared to other cars. I drive a Supercharged V8 because I want to be Mad Max"!

I did not buy the Monaro for economy either, its just surprising what it can achieve and still be fun.
Don,t hoof it too much because I will be banned.

Look, I didnt buy a 5.7 v8 for fuel economy either, I'm just saying that in situations where you aint going anywhere fast thanks to other traffic, there is little point foaming at the mouth like Gary chav in his nova. Just enjoy the cruise of a V8 and the noise on the overun.

Oh yeah, if you really wanna be mad max and truly dont give a toss about juice have a look at Aussiecoupes.com and see whats available. They will do you a full falcon XB in Mad Max trim or even Knight Riders HQ Monaro to whatever spec you fancy! A quality web site for sure!

Best economy, 30 mpg on motorway A/C off sitting at 70mph
Worst, 1.1 mpg sitting in traffic jam on The Highway in East London, sweet!
Average, about 15 mpg mainly town driving.
Had a 4.0L Wrangler before, didn't matter how or where I drove it, it always came back with 18 mpg.
Hell, I like my carbon footprint, I'm comfortable with it.
Not sure I like the Government taking 70% tax on squirt tho', bit strong. Also Red Ken's going to have £25 a day off me to drive in his loverly city from October, nice one!
