To the Muppet,
I had a 1974 Dodge Challenger, only with a 318, but it had the rally dash and an LSD. I sold it almost 20yrs ago, and I still miss it... but I think the 70 model you had was the best looker.
My old car has been in a few American car mags, look out for NLK 900V.
I had to go back to a V8, hence the Monaro, even if it kills me to gas it up......

Hi l4jor, my Challenger got sold in '92 for the deposit for first house. I had a few V8 yanks but the Challenger is the one I regret selling most. Even though it was pink. That 4-speed pistol grip shifter is one of the coolest items ever!! Last time I saw the car it was running a Challenger T/A hood and stripes and looked ace..

Monaro is so much more accessible tho'

At a recent trip to the Pod when none of you girls turned up I followed a white 50's Cadillack through the entrance. For me it summed up everything great about the 'Ro - not practical or sensible but lovely all the same!

I didn't have much choice - the strip was shut due to heavy, freezing rain and it was horrible. Besides, it's not something that interests me. I'd like to see Steve's Granada but IMHO Monaros are just too slow to be interesting.

Cannot wait for the TT (4 sleeps to go). This will be my 11th year and it still takes my breath away. And no, I don't have the balls or ability to take part and I don't mind admitting it. Absolute nutters!

If you've never been, get over there and watch some proper motorsport

So why the search for more power if you`ll never use it?

No thanks, most nights I have a quick half hour on my bikes in the garden and I always fall off at least a couple of times.
Got a 200T delivery of portland stone rocks coming so I expect I`ll fall off every 5 mins once thats in and set up.
Only thing I like to watch is.......well.........a bit rude

The reason I want more power is because too much is never enough and I can't stop messing about with things. Normally it ends with something going "bang" !

I used to do moto cross and was always falling off and hurting myself. Rocks sound like a bad idea, build a nice water feature or rockery instead!

Then organise the next Ro meet at the Pod....... I would love to go (even standard) and see how I fare against others - but would want other "Ro's" to compare against (my skill/lack of......)
