I did mean rev limiter... that's what I thought I was hitting - hence I'm changing my name to muppet!!

I'm sure if I'd explained the issue more clearly yesterday most of you would have suggested the speed limiter - It didn't dawn on me till I was driving home, when I realised it hadn't been telling me to change up, so couldn't be the rev limiter.

I wasn't being sarcastic about the various explanations, I'm in the dark when it comes to cams etc, something I aim to rectify.

All in all a great excuse to put my name down for the next thunder road!! (once I've been back to Monkfish...)

P.s. Thanks for a great event Jez, my only suggestion would be to have a deadline by which people have to complete the 5 competive runs, which should avoid anyone waiting till 12 to start them...!

I've heard that Javelin's new system couldn't cope with anyone completing fewer than the 5 runs.

Shame about your limiter. Next time...

Just a quick thank you to Jez and the Javelin team for another top day out! You can put Angela and I down for the next event now!

Thanks to all had a great day, had an awfull run home massive accident on the A1 didnt move for over 2 hours! On top of being woke up by the friendly travelodge staff at 5am I am utterly s*agged!

9th overall im very pleased with that!!

Rick sorry didnt get to run with you had to shoot off and my clutch was getting very odd by the 5th run so didnt want to risk it hope you got back o.k with the battery mishap, going off your 1/4 time and top speed you are hammering me top end again (must find a way to increase the gap!)
Did wonder where you'd gone! Looks like my next mod needs to be lots of practice launches. If I can scrub another second off my start I'll be back snapping at you and Gareth's top speeds.

By the way the battery died again on the way home! Still the nice man from the AA seemed to appreciate the car more than the usual broken down mondeos.

Had a feeling you would have a problem with the battery as it sounded just like mine before it died completely!

Will run with you next time, didnt realise the time was knocking on half 2 with a potential 5 hour drive home (ended up being 7 hours) I needed to get off!!

Mine was the GT-R - I was sixth overall.
Pretty pleased given that the car is currently standard.
It was a great day out

Yeah very well done on the times, excellent 1/4 time shows how the technology has moved on!

I made no attempt at the 1/4. Followed Jez's instructions - just drive off the line. Top speed was the objective
