What do the manual vxr8's look like mate?

275x35x19 say?
3.7 diff.

1st: 3.01
2nd: 2.07
3rd: 1.43
4th: 1.00
5th: 0.84

I get about 178 at 7000rpm
172mph at 6800..

Anyone know what the vxr8 record is so far?
I personally think that GaryH is going to be the man to beat in an R8

Looks good provided he's got the temps under control with the 122.
I'm sure Gareth isn't to be overlooked eithersmile

It will be very interesting in the vxr8 department this year.Even goldy has a good chance if he doesn't sit on the start line in a cloud of white smoke.laugh

A little 122 and an LS2? No chance smile

Phil W I think has the leader board on R8's. From last year:

1 Mym8v8 12 HSV GTS 183.98
2 Liam1986 8 Monaro 175.13
3 PhillW 1 VXR8 172.15
4 Emma J 11 Monaro 167.66
5 Gary H 5 VXR8 164.43
6 jameshsv 14 Monaro 164.94
7 n2hsv 16 HSV GTS-R 163.04
8 Moif 9 VXR8 162.09
9 RickF 3 Monaro 159.78
10 Leigh1050 15 VXR8 158.26

Will be putting up the full results and mods as little pre-event teaser on the FB site later

My prediction for me is about 151, depending on temperature and whether my minor improvements have any real effect at all nuts

I'm planning on changing a few things between runs to see if there's any real value.

That's fked it then!!!

(Cheers Mate)

Anyway you forgot about Emma who is running more power than me and has got her new super dooper gearbox with the right ratios which should put her on top.

(And someone else is bound to have been keeping quiet about a killer mod' for this year?)

Well have fun and post ya times as I've dropped out. Too much on and taking the car around Europe the following weekend so decided to play safe and not try to blow the dame thing up just before we go as I know I will drive it very hard.
Last year I did TR on the Saturday and then the following Monday drove it up to Sweden for the Power Meet. No problems.

That's a shame. The social side is good, and it really doesn't matter if you try or not. smile

I think I'm a fair contender for the wooden spoon... Stock R8 with cat back.

150+ will do me, hopefully.

There were quite a few around the 150 mark, both Monaros and VXR8s. It's going to be tight at the bottom - and then there's the poor old Holden.
