Harry,

Only one fuel filler cap? That'll take ages! Why not have two side by side, then you can use two pumps to save a few minutes :-)

Simply take a known recipe which has been tried in countless American kitchens, add a true petrolhead with the right budget to do the job properly; sprinkle in a liberal amount of the automotive tuners' finest parts, neaded in by a few experienced and seasoned professionals, and bake in a large Australian fish at gas mark 1000. Remove the engine from the oven dyno when some of the ingredients are cherry-red. Then wait till the rubber starts to boil and serve up on a long road on a bed of molten rubber tongue out

Yes, still plenty to do and Roger has been a man down for the last week or so...
With any luck I'll get a chance to drop in tomorrow afternoon and check progress. Be nice just to see the engine turn over!

Awesome thread - awesome car.

Especially like the finished boot - but have to ask - where are all the subwoofers?
Good point. However, the original spec required that space be left to carry the groceries....

God knows how you'll tame all that power. Mines 'only' 470bhp at the wheels and I have trouble overtaking in a straight line in cold/damp weather. You'll need some Carlos Fandango extra wide wheels and a spare pair of pants methinks!
wider rubber, I expect so

Week 23 biggrin

A good day today.....

Over the last two weeks all the bits and pieces made it back into the car. Roger decided to start the engine with the stock plenum on to limit the number of factors in case it woudln't start. Of course a stock plenum wont fit LS7 heads banghead. So to continue this approach required an LS7 plenum and do you think there are many in the UK? Roger was able to source one off a contacts car (many thanks) and with a few minor fixes it made it on (minus idle control valve and inlet temp sensor).

Exhaust system below (cats only and no silencers for the moment)

Small hiccup with the LS7 manifold as it runs one fuel line and not two, so the fuel setup on the car wasn't going to work without further modification. A temporary fuel supply was setup (cue fuel pump from busted Porsche, jerry can, battery and hose), and voila..

turn up the volume!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTGkwdlrVag

Man, its sounds sooo toughthumbup. Who needs silencers!

Next job is to fit the modified plenum, tidy a few things up and adjust the bonnet.
