Wouldn't call mine quick, more a bit nippy but I'm up for giving you a passenger ride. evil
Ooh Thanks Emma smokin
em youir car is plenty quick we all know you just have a wrapped speed perspective.. wink
I wouldn't go that far - yes mine is quick beyond 120 where the turbos make a big difference but it's not that fast below that frown. I've followed enough NA Monaro's to know I don't reel them in as quickly as you'd think.

Probably because my wheels spin up through 1st, 2nd and 3rd hehe
the last part sounds about right... hehe

i agree with what Neil says the R8 has a batter chassis and better brakes by default, as for suspension the VXR monaro suspension and R8 suspension is about the same, the only major issue with the R8 is its a saloon not a coupe, now if they made the Coupe 60 we would be talking.
The r8 front suspension isn't the same as the monaro

i stand corrected not had my head under an R8 to check. they both have IRS and both use a standard spring and damper setup on the front, i guess its the wishbone part that changes..

Rear end is very different as well the r8 uses a Multilink rear end with a spring over damper assembly
The ro uses a very old design that goes back to early 80's
