Wow harry... that thing is going to be a monster... your not wrong about things getting cosy that is for sure.. Definitely going to be interesting to see how you go with all that heat in there. Guess you aren't gonna want to be sitting still in traffic for too long. Umm, might have to talk to the Mrs to find out if I can put a TT in rather than a supercharger..
I have a cunning plan for the heat, in fact two cunning plans. One is borrowed from the Vanquish. It has these great heatshields over the exhaust manifolds with shaped "exhausts" that run to vents in the bonnet. Amazing difference in the heat above the heat shields and over the exhausts. With the bonnet down there's this enormous heat haze that pours from the vents on the Vanquish at idle (appreciate that its not the same heat as a turbo install, but looks like a cool idea)Raggyman said:
Why a new fuel tank? Is is cause normally it is going to get sucked dry after 10 minutes?
Like Mackie said, I want to fit a twin 3.5 inch exhaust and it just wont fit where the old one went. Also allows me to fit the largest fuel tank possible.Week 4
This week saw the fabrication of the exhaust manifold adaptors to mount turbos and wastegates
Final location of turbos on adaptors
Also the ECU has been relocated out of the engine bay and inside the passenger side footwell
Engine is waiting for final parts to finish off (due this week with any luck).
Car is off for exhaust manufacture next week. Going for the Wortec in car volume switchable exhaust system but as a 3.5inch twin setup.

Shame it won`t be ready for the 19th Harry.
Coming on nicely, saw Devil Yellows at Monkfish and as it was on its wheels thought Rodger had worked miracles on your car.
You got any forecast power figures for us all to drool over?
yep, have to wait for the next VMAXComing on nicely, saw Devil Yellows at Monkfish and as it was on its wheels thought Rodger had worked miracles on your car.

power forecast? it would be nice to think it should make 4 figures, but happy to wait and see
Looking absolutely awesome.. This thing is going to be a monster.. Be interesting to see what fuel economy is like. Before you thought single figures were bad. Could it be that we could be counting with decimal points? Would be absolutely awesome to check it out... Oh, ah yeah... SHOTGUN!!!
What boost are you aiming at? 14psi?
With standard 427's running 600bhp no problem a 14psi well setup one should do that not a problem. In fact 8psi might be enough, Im sure Mike has crunched the numbers.
Off boost economy "should" be ok if in closed loop, but lower thermal efficiency from lower CR will cut a bit.
Still turbo is one of the most effective ways to get an efficient engine.

Here is some fun for you guys.

The revs rise soooooo fast and the dynos are struggling to hold onto it!
Good luck Harryoz, you will need it!

just had a crazy thought what if you added a turbo or two by the rear wheels
oh imagine the power
i am clin icly mad
That would add one hell of a turbo lag that would.. oh imagine the power
i am clin icly mad
anyway turbo lag is a thing of the past
