How do you get to run at the bowl ?
I did this as part of a Redline day. I assume though you can just ring up and book some time. They give you a driver briefing for the parts of Millbrook you want to use, give you a radio and then leave you to it.....
Wow - good stuff !! Didn't realise it was open to the public like that. Is that the place that has a one way road section too ?
Not certain that its open to the public, just my assumption. Yes, lots of different sections of track, one way, etc

How did you do that ?! Can you just book different sessions on different parts of the track ?

Just heard that my best stats over the qtr at Millbrook (per racelogic box) was

0-60 - 4.5s
0-100 - 8.5s
1/4 - 12.2s
1/4 terminal - 125mph

lots of work to do on traction....

Nice numbers Harry although I gather you had traction issues. Terminal would suggest theres alot more to come as Jamie pulls 11.7 or 11.4 with the same terminal from memory. smokin

What was your 60ft time? terminal indicates its a fast car but they dont normally change a huge amount i found even when you get a good start.

I susspect that was not at full boost?

Buy some grippy tyres....888's are quite good.

Although without a surface to allow grip, it will always be a struggle.

Unless you're at a sticky drag strip...60fts wont mean much.

As after 100ft....200ft....300ft etc...there still wont be much grip lol

Although with your power, higher traps at the 1/4 would be nice to see.

Ive used both MT DR's and 888's at Elvington. And there really was no difference whatsover for me. Admittedly I only used the 888's for about 5 runs, ( over 2 different occasions ) and then the rest on the MT DR's and both yielded virtually identical 11.1x at 140 or so runs.
I was quite surprised to say the least.

Although I imagine MT's would offer more traction on a better suited surface.

Ive never used the ET Street wrinkies on an airfield, so no idea what they would perform like. They work bloody well at a sticky track though.

As an all rounder, road or track, 888's are the way to go.

Have to say I amazed even myself this week by replacing a split rocker cover seal with my own soft hands. What a pain in the arse the Katech cover is to get to sit properly though.....

The rocker cover rubbers are a PITA....for some reason, new ones always seem to be longer than needed.

Superglueing them in as you go seems to help them stay.

Yeah its not just katech ones. My stock ones caused much anguish and swearing. I had to clean all the oil off and used a little silicon sealant to "glue" them in as I worked around the edge pressing them in, trying not to end up with 1" of the seal spare at the end!
