Commodore going FWD and I4 .. so we (Aus) are getting a RHD Camaro to soften the blow.

No more UTE either.

Probably the same for the UK then. A Vauxhall Camaro .. *shudder*.

Will they dare? I mean, would they risk any hint of sales like that? There are a lot of snobby people out there... Although I suppose they all buy German cars anyway, so they could call it the Dacia Bumdart and it wouldn't make any difference, us lot would still want one!

But GM are pulling the plug on "Chevrolet" by 2015 in whole of Europe and sticking with VX and Opel

I'd assume as they are shipping RHD versions to OZ, they will still be available here, badged as Chevy?

Perhaps even personal RHD imports will become cheaper from the US as the lights, indicators etc won't need changing first over here before being sold? Better ROE as well !!

The Reuters artical on GM pulling the plug on Europe is a bit vague. Forgot where I read it now, but it's the old Daewoo part of GM, now under the Chevy badge, that is being withdrawn from Europe. The key phrase was that 'flagship models' would still be imported.
