probably price and convenience as ryan stays only a couple of miles away from me so he's a good 6-7hrs drive away from the normal outlets. Course I've got the efilive kits he could borrow if he wanted to do it himself if he bought a licence for them but thats a fairly steep learning curve.

I don't think I would ever answer someone one this forum with "who cares" if that was was my answer I jst wouldn't bother with the reply.
I got an email from superchip sayin they could do remaps phoned them and got told they couldn't do it. Just thought I'd ask on here why

Do they make it clear what you get and is it creditable?

I.e. before and after rolling road traces on the same graph?

I too thought the reply was a little harsh. Perhaps it might help you to understand it, if I told you that Ringram has a vested interest in an alternative tune, so his message was more commercial than personal. wink

I once waited 2 fekin hours for Axl Rose to appear at a G'n'R concert in Spain. There's fashionably late and there's taking the piss. I think that was the latter! Apparently he was finishing his roast lamb??? confusedsmash

Exactly. Which is what I left unsaid. OP could have been covertly advertising superchips tunes for all we know.
So my question could have been rephrased as "Why, what makes them better than alternatives"
But "Who cares?" worked late last night..

Also Wells FYI

A few minor changes can make a big difference. The learning curve is not steep on the stock tune because all the work is already done.
Stig outperformed tunes costing many hundreds of pounds with a simple change to a single table. Dyno results on the day for proof!

A different engine setup, cam, displacement, heads etc is a different kettle of fish.
