So, my next door neighbour has sold his lovely Monaro and now mine looks very lonely on the drive without his mate...
But don't worry, he is waiting for an auto VXR8 to move in... There doesn't seem to be that many about at the moment for sale complete with a sports exhaust. I thought he'd have no trouble getting hold of a nice auto example??? Hmm

Interesting Jamie, there always seems to be plenty of autos around normally, from what everyone says he should look for one with a gearbox remap if poss.

Yeah, typical. Just before the Monaro went, there were loads of auto R8's and now he's got the cash, there's nothing to choose from. To say he's frustrated is an understatement!!! But, I let him polish my car this evening to cheer him up!!! I'm such a nice neighbour...???

Why an auto? Is it because they are generally cheaper, or because they have been plentiful? I assume his Monaro was a manual.

to my knowlage there is only 1 auto monaro in the country (from factory). this was the one imported to see if ti would pass our sva tests and i would not as it was to nosily im not sure what happened to it but im sure its kicking around the uk somewhere.

The only reason Mark (jamies neighbour) sold the Monaro CV8 as it was manual and was he wants/needs an auto V8 so can only be a VXR8 auto as he wants to stick to HSV/Holden

That's fair. Shame he didn't go for the converted auto Monaro, that was being touted around for months. I can't seem to find it now, so assume that it has been sold.
