Am considering doing the same to my workhorse (Ford Scorpio) and Greenfuel seem to be in the know about all things LPG.

Hi, well as I seem to be the only person here who's LPG'd their Monaro. What do you want to know?
Cost of conversion ~£2,500
System used Prinz Injection system
MPG drops gtom ~18 to the gallon to ~15-16
System is still not working perfectly, still have the engine check light comiong on frequently.
Vauxhall (Dealer) is being a pain, Vauxhall (central) are being helpful.
The installer was ECG in Redditch, part of 'The Green Fuel Company' I have to say they've been great, very helpful and spending time to sort out the teething issues.
If you want to have a look at the installation I'm sure we can arrange a meet.
Anything else I can help with, just yell.

The inlet manifold on the LS1 is plastic. However this is only an issue with the Ventura LPG system which sometimes backfired. However injection systems don't suffer from back fires (So I've been told by everyone who knows their stuff) so the plastic manifold isn't an issue.
LPG systems have advanced a lot in the past 3 years.

Great place the South Lakeland wildlife park - don't you think. I was kicking myself that I was in my Mrs's car - she'd insisted on going in it because "it's such a nice day we can put the roof down". Except it was freezing cold and we had to put the roof up . Yours brought my total numbers spotted to 6, in 2 years. Nearly left a note on your windscreen but thought you may find that strange.
Nice nearly meeting you !!

since getting my Monaro in August last year I've seen exactly 1 other on the road and sadly that was Dave52's. Everybody I meet at the various car events keep telling me they've seen this one and that one - maybe I just need to open my eyes more often
And I've only seen Dave52's in Scotland and "Windy Miller" in Orkney once! The island is only about 240 square miles and I've never seen the only other one in Orkney since my first sighting last year.
My son had his car converted (a Mondeo) to LPG by a local garage that specialises in it. The engine check light staying on is normal according to them as the a different ECU controls the gas, so the standard ECU does not get the correct readings.
He thinks it's great, now cost wise doing about 90 to the gallon.
Where we live we have two LPG outlets within one mile one of which is 24 Hour service

I asked my son about the LPG conversion, he said he did not know what system, but could find out, the explanation he was given about the engine light was:
They could not put the mapping for the gas system into the Ford ECU, so they fitted another ECU which obviously has different mapping to standard and the cars electrical system is not happy about it (summat to do with computers) but the light has stayed on ever since it was done and it has given no trouble whatsoever.
He reckons that was one of the more major costs in the conversion.
It starts on petrol then after about a minute switches to gas. If you run out of gas it switches back automatically,
I have driven it and would'nt know the difference as to what it was running on, they fitted a small square switch in one of the unused blanks in the dash which has 4 small lights on it, that reduces to 3 then 2 and so on as the gas gets used.
The garage where he had it done is about 12 miles from Oxford and they have converted some American V8's.
