This lovely 1996 VSII HSV Manta 278.
Botanic blue which has metallic shades from green to blue.
A nice strong clutch, 3.9 diff, big zorst which makes her sound outstanding. Amazing torque
LS1/LS2 engines will be quicker, newer cars have better suspension, but this has heart and sole - until you drive a car like this words cannot describe it.
PS - I did think of taking the pics from the garage but with views like that c'mon.

Definitely prefer the Lotus Carlton.Has power and torque that takes some beating as was published in same circa of year of the above car.Paint job also something else.
Agree completely Brian, but price paid for car, usability of the car on a daily basis and price and availability of parts for this car would probably beat the LC on all three counts?
Hiya guys.
Oz life is pretty damn cool - or warm infact. 22C during the days, about 12C overnight and only 2.5 days of rain in 5 weeks!
Andy, the shoulder pads are in the container will have those soon
Yorkie, the body boards are in the boot.
Paul - that tow bar is most certainly coming off - anyone want to buy it? I suppose I could use it tow the BBQ.
The local Holden / HSV dealer is very very good. Anyone need anything let me know (parts merchandise badges cars etc...)

G'day Richard,
Great to see you have kept true to your word and joined the HSV Club once again. I notice the 185i on the back, will be interesting to see how it keeps up with my 190kw SV6. I dare say you would blow me into the weeds with all that extra torque. Will have to organise a meeting sometime seeing though you are just up the road from me now..
