I now have the keys to V8 HSV
Discussion
Mark delivered the car back to me this morning & am pleased to report that all is well. I will need to drive it for a few hundred miles to run in the new block and to re-acquaint myself with the car and learn clutch control once again.
LSV have lowered the boost pressure until it is run in so current read out is 522 BHP with 8 psi boost. As it has forged pistons & con rods its current set up should be bullet proof. They have also reduced the compression ratio down to 8.5 so when I go back for a different pulley set up it will then be fed 12 psi and we are expecting + 600 brake!
One smiling happy HSV owner again…

Cheers for that, LSV are under new management with a new MD, their General Manager, Doug Duguid would be the man to talk too
Lot of talk about figures from suppliers, I have a dyno print out in front of me showing 663.5 BHP from a 5.7 Litre Monaro that LSV recently did which is quite impressive, certainly stand up to the 6 ltr with the Harrop blower, Vortec for me....

Right had a short blast this lunchtime, huge grin still evident from the experience, all I know when I get chance to look at the speedo its at 150 mph, so what I am saying it pulls sweetly, constantly all the way, even the engine/exhaust note has become slightly more refined, power delivery smooth at all points as indicated by the graph readout. Thinking now of leaving it at 8 psi as the power is ample and adequate.
Despite everything a BIG thank you to Doug for all his concerted efforts and Mark for not giving up & finally coming through for me at Linden Special Vehicles. I WILL be using Linden in the future!

No sideways at all, last time I tried a donut on grass it would not step out at all, so I won't be able to do my parking trick anymore - new camber set up & the addition of coilovers have sorted the suspension so that outside of damp/wet conditions you can get the power down, whahoo.....
Thanks for your kind words A57 HSV, yes LSV certainly get their full quota of knockers, mainly from those who have never used them ironically, still I am prepared to give them my vote of confidence, yes they have got it wrong on occasion but stayed with it to get it right and give me satisfaction, LSV have spent large amounts of money, time & resources to sort my problems.
With low compression ratio & 8 psi it should run trouble free for many miles & years, time will tell of course
