What is the differce between the original AC Delco battery and something called GO .Why I want to know is that my original battery has been swapped for a GO at a dealership during a repair,It does not look right .

But the battery has been modified to fit . I have always driven
Chevys and AC Delco is the original. My CV8 is under warranty how
can they fit this without informing me.My original was nothing wrong
with. I had a drain. The car was away for in all 12 days at a Monaro
dealer. Now that it is back it is flat again. I am really upset.

Thanks for taking the time.
What I cannot understand is that the original was examined and
measured by computer nothing was wromg with the battery.Pentagon in Derby has not given any details of their repair .I have never been in
this situation before.Should they not give me my old battery back and
should not the repair be logged on some sort of paper.Even if it is a repair under warranty.Since the car still have the same fault, who do I contact.Sorry about my swe-nglish.

2 issues.
1 battery was tested by AA and there was nothing wrong with it.According to AA there was a drain when ignition was off
normally this current is minute around 0.3 A my "leak" was 3-7 A
this problem was solved by the"Monaro dealer"by putting a new battery in.I am now back to square one i.e the car is on its way to the"Monarodealer" I live out in the sticks = major problem.I was not offered an "We are sorry"! nor a replacement vehicle.
2 a perfectly fine AC Delco battery (£130) was replaced with Vauxhalls budget version GO (£53.76) without asking me.

[quote=caspy]Cant help with the rest, sorry. The battery is a legit replacement. Why though, they really should have told you what they had been doing, and if the battery has been modded to fit then it's not the right one. Battery should be AC Delco N50ZLMF - part number 92155123. as original.(05 CV8) If 04 then any change is to be battery to fit spec, there is no part number for replacement. GO batteries i believe are Delphi but rebranded for the UK, but should fit original housing.

Can anybody tell me where to buy the above mentioned battery N50ZLMF
I want what was in the car when I bought it.AC Delco uk cannot find it in there parts list.Vauxhall uk headoffice cannot help because their
partsdept is not "customerfaced".They took my 30K though!!I do not mind the cost I do not like that GO battery it is partially an emotional thing.I have seen Chevy engines with AC Delco batteries for 30 years.GO hmfff!!!! Dont like it

Conclusion
My car was "diagnosed" with a major and potentially dangerous fault.
9 cables were so badly corroded that they had made contact. This had not been picked up on the first visit to the "auth dealership"!!!!Instead they fitted a new battery.
Part of the loom had to be changed. My car is now on its way back from Derby and I have to pay for this!!! This has taught me a few things.
Vauxhall does not care anymore about Monaros ,the lack of support from
head office has shown this.
Never believe and trust salespersonel when they say they will take care of you in the future."..... Wales " did not lift a finger when help was needed.
Auth.dealerships do not nec. know anything about Monaros they have paid for the title,2 out of 3 visits have proven this.

Credit where credit is due.Thank you LSV,Picador,A.C Delco and Caspy
for putting up with my questions. You took them seriously and gave some constructive advice.
Thank you Dave52 for your cool and laid back attitude! It is people like you makes life so much easier when a problem arises.Well done

I have dealt with 4 Monaro dealerships.Three have had the opportunity to do work or in other ways prove how serviceminded they are.3 have
let me down .Picador was very helpful over the phone and I have actually praised them in this thread
Vauxhall head office said the could not help.
I AM NOT HARSH
I am out of pocket having no other means of transport I have been without my car for in total 16 days.Ihave been on the phone for hours trying to resolve this matter, when I could have been treating patients. I am paying to have my car transported back to me. (Thanks Lease360/Link1 who is doing this for me at actual cost)Vauxhall refused .
I am not happy this does not mean I am buying anything else I like the Monaro but it will prob never go back to Vauxhall, there are alternatives.Although the car is under warranty and I have a servicecontract (£158/m) it will be cheaper to pay for not having to use Vauxhalls services.
