200,000 miles, almost there.
Discussion
As of this morning I'm looking at 196,376 miles since the car arrived from the factory at the end of March 2004. Any one want to guess when I'll reach the 200,000 mark? I feel like I should offer a prize to who ever get's the closest . . .
Maybe I should try to persuade the guys at Bespoke Performance to do this, after all they are the guys who have allowed the car to get this far, not just with 34 6,000 miles services.

I'd be interested to know how many alternators/starter motors/batteries/injectors etc you have gone through. I have no worries about a TVR power engine it's the other stuff I have concerns about, doing that milage will have thrown up a lot of other weak areas.
Well Done, hope in the next 4 years it hits the 300K mark

1/4 million miles would be better Maybe I should try to persuade the guys at Bespoke Performance to do this, after all they are the guys who have allowed the car to get this far, not just with 34 6,000 miles services.
Dom
You're right Dom the 1/4 million is my real target. That's when I plan to come back to you to work your magic again. (Perhaps you should offer a prize to whoever guesses closest - as without you and your guys this feat would not be possible in a TVR).
Getsis, Off the top of my head; 2 starter motors, 3 alternators, 4 (or 5) clutches, 3 radiators, 3 wiper motors. Once I pass the milestone I'll come up with a proper list of such stuff. (Maybe an article on here or in Sprint?)
I know what you might think about Trigger's Broom (though this theory did exist in a time before Only Fools and Horses) but there is a whole lot more to the car than some of the various components. Replace someone's vital organs, even their heart, do they stop being the person they were? The soul is still the same. Same with my car. One day, no doubt, it will die but first it will have lived it's life, including tomorrow's trackday.
