Would these LED's fit a Tamora for brake lights?
Discussion
Back on topic, I fitted the rear fog & reverse light today & can confirm they are both far superior to the std bulb items that were fitted. Much brighter and increased throw/spread of light so you can actually see where you are going now when reversing in the dark!!
Front indicators at weekend. Hopefully years of my mis-spent use with fingers fiddling in tight holes will mean having to work inside the clamshell won't be too much of a problem....
What is the feeling about side repeaters?. Currently they are clear but I picked up an orange set off the bay of fleas for £3 posted. Not arrived yet but I will do some side shots with both to canvas opinion at weekend. What does the PH collective think?

I ordered one of the LED relays for the indicators on Tamy. I'm fitting it on Saturday morning (I'm off to Oulton Park this evening and Tamy lives at my other home) and will post up if it works. Would be a better / neater solution than scotch-locking in the resistors.
Unless you have an MOT tomorrow then, if you want to, wait until I've fitted the relay before you fit the resistor.

Chris, IMHO you really ought to use proper crimps rather than those blue snap connectors.....they are not good.
So would these be a better option?http://www.amazon.co.uk/Way-Gel-Filled-Connector-C...
(I guess I could also solder the wire and heat shrink wrap them)?

I have saved myself over £250, and will go for the HID upgrades at Central TVR (they're gonna have my car for a long time with the list I'm giving them....)Edited by chris watton on Thursday 27th February 21:09
I would quite like to go clear lens LED with all my rears lamps and front indicators. So that is 4x indicators, 4x rear light/brake lights, 1x Fog, 1x reverse = well over £300!!! seems a bit excessive to me.
But I have ordered them anyway

Depending on the type of relay, you have to consider not to mix LED and normal lamps. For example if you only do the back and want to do the front at a later time. But as said it depends on the relay. May be there are complete power undepended ones.
I would hope they work with all combinations but I've never bought one.I went for the free option, because I'm tight!, and modified the existing relay.

ETA - Damn, just realised I'm 2 rear lights short! Are the upper red lights the same as the lower ones?

There is no need for the lower tail lights as the new ones are combined tail/brake lights
You just have to connect the blue lead with the lower tail lead.
Paul, does your "cut off" in the original relay work with both LED and normal lamps together ?
I have just ordered another set of red tail/brake lights (as well as clear indicators for the front..) - so can both sets be wired up for both tail/brake lights? You just have to connect the blue lead with the lower tail lead.

Yes. White lead is ground, blue is tail and red is brake light.
I always wanted to modify the original brake lights to have combined brake and tail lights with a 5/21 watt lamp, but never did it. Now it's an easy job with the new LED ones.
Perfect, thank you.I always wanted to modify the original brake lights to have combined brake and tail lights with a 5/21 watt lamp, but never did it. Now it's an easy job with the new LED ones.
I think SVC have made a killing with these lights over the past few weeks..

Yes, but as I have mentioned its bloody bright with 5 bake lights. Start with both sets of lights wired as tail lights and just connect the upper two as brake lights in addition to the centre brake light.Shep
