If trimming is done it must be nearly time to buy a new car
NopeI like the tam...more than the griff.... Suits me down to the ground
Still a few fettles to be done but it's a good car
Just thinking about next years hoonage around Europe.... I fancy a proper weeks hoonage around Spain Italy or such

Very nice. I know these retrims cost some big £££ but look at the results.
tim. I did a lot of the prep and stripping which saved money. Dave will work with you. It's not been as expensive as some costs I've seen quoted , and I'm very happy with the work, which is the most important thing QBee said:
That's one of the rare side-mounted V8s - well impressed. I've been in that car and it certainly shifts
It'll be better once I've had the final mapping done. The Tvr fuel pumps went lean so we capped revs at 5000 till I got them replaced with uprated pumps, I've done that now so I can get the rev limit lifted and we can get the last 1500 revs back to 6500. It'll rev more but no need with the cam I have. GTRene said:
I guess a Tamora drives 'better' then a Griffith? mostly because the different/better chassis or is there more?
It's subjective , but I just prefer the way it drives. I find it more direct and it feels less of a handful in the twisties. Tam geo is stock other than nitrons and sp12 with r1rEdited by SteveSPG on Thursday 4th September 07:00
i got a little fed up with wires for sat nav and chargers running over the radio face etc, so fibreglassed a mount for a charger in the glovebox before it was re flocked.
I've still to put a slotted hole grommet in the hole for the white wire to the radio of the iPod to pass through, so now the all that gubbins (iPod, phone etc) that regularly used to spill out of the lower dash tray onto my feet can be kept and charged in the glovebox.

Looks fabulous mate, very impressed ! Thinking of getting mine done over the winter, don't suppose you could give me a vague ball park figure of the cost at all ?!
Have a chat with him directI did a bunch of stripping myself and taking all that old gluey crud off takes ages = money saved. I also repaired the fibreglass panels that were damaged or cracked. Nothing difficult but time consuming
The design also has a big impact. All the quilting etc can add up quick. Just as well it's not my cup if tea!!
I asked dave to keep the design simple and use materials where they work best and are easiest to use. All I said was I wanted carbon and black. The carbon is thick and can be a bugger in tight corners so to a great extent this is daves interpretation if my "keep it simple and cost effective" brief....

I've got some spare carbon in the garage, some might have a crack at making one of these carbon pedal covers...
also added some footwell lighting that works off the interior lighting when the door is opened.
did the same passenger side too
these are just led strip lights powers directly off the interior light circuit. i changed that bulb to led too so the draw is much lower than std bulbs

My under dash lights have been adapted to add a cable length to be able to use them to light up the underneath when working on the gubbins (technical term) down there. Can you useful at times
i use a £1 torch... aldi(but i am considering boot lighting and under bonnet lighting and still plan to do something in the mirrors for puddle lights.....)

Pop the boot light out and remove the spades that are connected to the fitting. Make two small holes, one on either side where the lamp housing is fitted to pass the wires on your LED strip through and then wire them together into the cars loom (use bullets) so the operate as it did only with more light. Stick the old lamp fitting back in the hole and job done
thanks..... just found a boot light i didnt know i had!never seen a boot light, went for a look and voila, lamp holder without a bulb.....will get on with more led stuff later

Don't suppose he's looking at going into business with it? Or at least releasing the schematic? I can wield a soldering iron, just not with intelligence....
haha ill ask if he facies making more....he sent me this.....!
and said it had a
"PMW with fade out timer" but had some programmable chip so he could programme :-
fade out timing options
auto switch off if you leave the doors open after a set time
some funky dad rave mode if i opened and closed the doors too many times in succession...
he's just tested the consumption in use and checked operations with halogen bulbs etc to make sure its robust enough

fitted the dimmer widget at the weekend. works a treat
interior lights now fade up on door opening, dim down 10 secs after closing the door, , and auto off after 2 mins if you leave the doors open accidentally
as these operate the roof and footwell lights, planning to amend the software so that opening and closing the door thrice in quick succession will leave the lights on till the door is next closed (aka engineer mode for seeing what you're messing with in the footwell)
the switched roof light of course operates independently unless switched to doors mode.
got around to making this too...
not made anything from carbon before...fiddly stuff to get the weave to lay properly, but worked a treat

Ditto. I'd be more than happy with one of those as well.
How many channels does it have on it? If he could create something for me which has about 5-8 channels (as I add more lights)
I'd be more than happy to pay him for his time
