I think they look great, and at probably a third of the cost of mesh ones makes them better still.
Yes, I can see that they would be a lot cheaper. The labial lips would mean you wouldn't need to finish the edges of the cutouts to the same level - I would imagine you could even get away without respraying too. JonRB said:

no paint was required at all, very carefully cut out to jigs by the pdq guys.DJR 7 said:
The mesh also looks good but unless you're planning to have paintwork carried out the PDQ option is the way to go.
Yeah, I can see that. If you are going to do the mesh thing than you're going to have to have a front end respray whilst you're at it (which god know my girl needs) but that sounds like megabucks to me. my latest improvement for my Sag has been completed today, last winter I insulated the rear inner wing on the passenger side as per Graham V`s manual to help keep the exhaust noise down inside the car when the windows are shut, and I have just finished doing the same thing on the drivers side, this required the carpet being pulled back and removing this fibreglass panel that the carpet sticks to, this opens up quite an area inside the inner wing for valuable storage space, something I am definitely going to need this summer when taking part in the Rally for Heroes.
so out with the sheet of foam/foil backed insulation, glue, etc, then covered with some black imitation leather material, and job done, I can now store 5lt oil and small tool kit in this area without it lying in the back of the car and sliding around all over the place.
I have told mrs f that this does not mean there is more room in the car for her wardrobe whilst on the Rally this summer.
the cover on the right is just a loose piece of material glued on one side to the corner trim to act as a flap to cover the back of the rear lights, tends to sag forwards when the space is empty.
