As has been pointed out this question was in January 2006 .
The Sagaris was bought and consequently sold. Not sure who owns it now. It was the Cascade indigo one from "The TVR centre" fabulous car never felt like I needed a close ratio box with all that power and torque on tap.

2013 now and I am living in Dorset, so boating has taken over from fast cars.
No speed limits ( on open water ) and all the thrills, virtually instant top speed.

Pete.

.......Red is on all 4.0 engines, blue is 3.6 Red Rose and black is standard 3.6. So yours should be red!
I'm not sure that's right. I thought:-

- Red is Tuscan S and Sagaris spec 4.0 litre (405 bhp if you believe the factory figures)
- Blue is the standard 4.0 litre (380 / 360 bhp)
- Not sure what black is but 3.6 litre engines were silver.

So yes, all Sagaris should have Red cam-covers and the 'S' spec 4.0 litre engine.

It appears I'm only 7 years late with a comment on this topic, however I thought my experience from a couple of years back worth reporting. I had 'gearbox man' build a CR T5 box with Quaife internals rated at 800bhp. There is slight whine in 1st,2,3 & 5th due to straighter cut and larger stronger teeth, to be expected, but not intrusive. I recall parts and build were less than £1500, but memories fade. I think that Pascal chappie may have the same box. Seems pretty good.
However, if someone could design a 6 speed to fit inside the T5 shell I'm sure they would make a shed load.

CTS did me a custom T5 CR build plus Quaiffe ATB LSD as well.

Much better than the old T5. Only Castle's old demo Evora S had a gear box
worse than my old T5.

Sorry, not a fan of gear boxes that like to kill themselves when you try to
change them. That was always my impression of the TVR standard T5 BW.

What's the point of having a powerful car if the gear box ain't up to it? nono

I'm sure some folks are a huge fan of their clunkiness and the fact they can't change
into reverse properly and the synchro likes to break easily, but not me...
