T350 - initial thoughts 3 weeks in!
Discussion
Tony - I did feel the same as you at first, though never really admitted it to myself. People would ask if the T350 was better than the Chim, and I could never give an enthusiastic "YES!". I can recall telling everyone that the power delivery was different. Now I look back and can honestly say I much prefer the T350 for its styling (which is unbeatable!) comfort and road-holding, but it was the change to a sports exhaust that really won it for me! It changed the car completely! Much more presence and I could also give it more revs without it sounding like it was going to explode! Dials all work, I can fill up the fuel quickly without soaking my feet, and the warm-up period never really affected me as I drive like an old granny anyway! I hope you can learn to love yours!
I know we are dealing with people's individual opinions - and I'm not judging anyone.
I went from a Chim450 to a T350 and lots of people ask which is 'best'. I refuse to answer because the correct response is 'they are different'. I loved them both. I feel the Chim is more of a GT and the T350 is a sports car.
I monitor everything I should monitor but I certainly do not worry about temperatures, pressures, etc. I just drive it and love every mile.
I do not understand most comparisons. A TVR was a low cost supercar. You cannot compare with a Porsche, Audi R8, etc.
Surely our selection process is a mixture of desire and ability to pay.
I did my homework and selected the T350. I love it. However, if I could afford a Sag I might love that more but the key point is I can't afford a Sag.
