Tyres are fitted locally to you. Mine were done by Central Tyre - great service, greeted by name when I turned up and all fitted within 30 minutes!

255's will rub on the front arches. There is a slight improvement putting them on the rear, but difficult to quantify unless you do a side by side comparison. If you need new rear's then it is worth doing.

I decided to go to Toyo 255/35x18 on the rear, this is almost the same rolling circumference
as the 235/40x18 they replaced,the front remain 225/35`s, i will wear in the tyres and come back with an update on the ride and handling for those who where thinking of upgrading in size.

It in for a service on Thursday, is that something they will check automatically?
Check AND adjust is part of the "factory" service so it should all be spot on when it comes back.
I had the 255/35s put on at the weekend. Local tyre fitter was brilliant. I pulled up along with 3 other cars and the guy says ,'the TVR goes first', great. He was careful to protect the alloys and then cleaned them afterwards. He was a real car nut and loves TVRs, he even torqued the wheel nuts back on - amazing there are some good tyre fitters around !
Early days I know but so far so good. They do not seem any different to the 235/40s that were originally on there, obviously a little more grip as they are new but at £80 a corner from Leigh Tyres you can't go wrong.

255/35x18 fine for the rear, but will rub on the front, according to my tyre fitters computer, changing from 245/40 to 255/35 rear will lower ride height by approx 5 mm and lower the gearing slightly, had them on the rear for around 6000 miles now slight increase in grip in the dry, no real difference in ride running 24 psi cold.
