Anybody fitted Gas discharge headlights on his T 350???
There are several kits on the market, the ones from this company www.hids4u.co.uk
seem to have the best reputation???
What kit have people chosen and is it difficult to fit??? I am also confused as in the owners manual it says you have a low and high beam head light with sidelights and fog lights- I think my car 53 T 350 T has a main light (low beam- looks like so called angel eyes), and a high beam with sidelight (the upeer outside pods) but NO fog lights- is this the normal configuration or has somebody already fettled with it? Have other T 350s fog lights???
Your help is as always appreciated

cramorra,
I fitted HID’s my self the other week, its easy if you would feel capable to change a bulb then fitting HID’s isn’t that much more work. Took me 3 hrs, could do it in half that now.
1 - Wheel off
2 - Remove access panel
3 – Swap bulb for HID bulb (don’t touch glass)
4 – Mount HID Ballast box (just below head light access panel there is a round access panel I put it just in there with a bolt through the wheel liner.
5 – Hook wires up (12v feed to ballast, from original head light feed. High voltage from ballast to bulb)
6 – Re-fit access panel
7 – Up-rate head light fuse for a 20a (HID’s draw less power when running but have a quite a big start up draw.
I fitted them to my last car (Lotus Elise) and it was a much harder job than fitting them to the T350t.
HID kits can be bought from e-bay for under £100, the bulb type is H7 and the best bulb temp is 6000k.
HID’s are so much better than the standard bulbs, plus you get that cool white/blue light.
Oh and the deal with the legality of HID’s, I have had no problem getting my previous car MOTed and never got stopped by the plod in 18 over months of driving with them.
Sorry for the long post.

when i get my t350 (as i will do sometime this year! lol) ill be fitting some. I fit some to my golf Anni last year and think they are excellent and would really recommend them! I went for the 6000k's as they had that slight bluey look. You wont see any further with them but the light is SO much brighter if you know what I mean. The 4000k's are the brightest but not very blue, they are more white in colour. They are very easy to fit too! I got mine from xenon light source for £120.
