Tighten the bolts (Allen Key) that hold the wiper arms on.

My wipers met in the middle and locked together yesterday evening, because the passenger side didn't start it's return journey until too late.

Usual story... outside lane at the time. The lack of vision made for an 'interesting' journey to the hard shoulder.

Both arms need replacing as the drive has turned the inside of the arms to dust.

The bolts weren't even finger tight, so if you drive in the rain, go check them.
