my tam has never shown over about 94C on the water temp, even when in traffic in hot weather. recently though, in traffic it crept up to 100C at which point turning on the heater full blast has brought it down to 'safe' temperatures. the fans are working, coolant ok, so is the most likely culprit a thermostat jammed in a partially shut position?

Mine has just started doing the same. Both fans are working, I put it down to the current hot weather. I will be interested to see what is suggested.
