will anyone be taking a hacksaw to where the holes should be and sticking some of their girlfriends old tights under the wheel arches?

When my girlfriend starts wearing tights I will take a hacksaw to something else!

Why just the Racing Green car ted? There are pics of loads more from other dealers on the general forum. Wierdly all the dealers (I've seen so far) seem to have gone for black hide with body colour stitching inside.

what shade is THAT green .
Don't get me wrong, I like the car but I think the colour is an aquired taste .
Like to see one in 'reflex charcol' myself .

I think it looks stonking in the green. I love it in the orange as well. IMHO this is a car that you can get away with the wildest colours with.

Ted, cracking shots.. good job..

one problem tho.. the portrait shot doesn't open properly... running IE 6 on XP SP2 it opens in the standard sized window, not taking into account the image size..

once again, cracking shots tho!

Yeah, exactly my thoughts when I saw Ted's photo; the one that looks down into the wheel arch slashes! You'd be spending quite a lot of time phannying around with a (synthetic of course) Chamois leather drying them out - just when you're in a rush on a Sunday because the sun has come out (for once!) Still you've spent £50k odd so it shouldn't upset too much!!!!

hope i'm not being too tedious but 'synthetic of course' don't really get that. They are appauling chamois and as a lifetime 'handwasher' myself it's leather every time, ideally Pittards Drysoft extra large. Innit.

Just that one simply doesn't go around shooting the Chamois any longer! A bit like the the Fox you know

The Chamois is on the verge of extinction and all that,

Well, no, actually washing your car with a Fox is only any good under the sills!!

I applaud your concern for endangered species wholeheartedly.

However, pretty much ever since the car was invented chamois leather has actually been rather more ordinary sheepskin. Even then it's a by-product of the meat industry ie the sheep are already dead.

So drying a car with a 'chamois' isn't really cruel or scandalous for non-vegans but it does work a lot better than the synthetic imitation and it's still far less likely to leave any scratches your lovely paint work.

Our family is in the leather business in case you were wondering, so I don't expect everyone to know this.
