Hi all

Sold my Vantage in September (wrongly) and now the itch is returning severely !

Was looking at a 4.7 V8 but after scratching about on the net, there seems an influx of low mileage DBS's (which is my ultimate aspirational car) for £80k..... Prob more like £75k on a deal with no part ex etc

Is this because the Vanquish is arriving on drives and DBS's are coming in ? What sort of lowest value might a DBS hit, or is now a great time to buy in the void so to speak ???

Manuals are a LOT less at the moment, I really hope a decent auto at £100k now wouldn;t drop to £60k anytime soon

When test driving Vanquish and DB9.2 a couple of weeks ago BOTH factory drivers said don't ever sell your "manual" DBS. Make of that what you will.

with good 05/06 DB9's at below 40k it is only a matter of time before DBS's come down further.....The DBS is after all a DB9 with a body kit and some other bolt on bits.......I think we will see good 08 DBS's with prices starting with a 6 some time in the next twelve months

My wife's cheque book is ready when it happens cuz i want one smile

Ha Ha…..caught me out !!! I would like a 599 but I know that all my friends would think I’m an even bigger knob than they already think of me

There again if business continues the way it is, I can have both, boy are we rocking.....recession in manufacturing? Pa!

That's only because all the factory drivers love the manual DBS. Fact is their value is dropping rapidly.

Hmmmm interesting....

Guess a dealer will disagree and say they aren't far off bottoming out

Around 7 late 08's, mostly black, all under or around 80k

May test some dealers out at 75k and see what happens

just been told by a very nice man in the trade that a 08 plate DBS with 25k miles is worth 63k trade.....I think we will see very nice DB9's with factory fitted body kits (know as DBS) for sub 70k in the next few months

Might be this month
Won't be when the weather improves
Prices tend to firm up over the warmer months

I thought DBS body was absolutely NOT a DB9 with a bodykit. DB9 does'nt have major panels made out of carbon like the DBS, does it?

+1

Weather is a big factor. Won't be many DBS buyers in snowy conditions!

DB9 has no carbon panels. But the DBS carbon panels (i.e. bonnet and bootlid) are just bolted to the same chassis as the DB9.

It is more than a 'bodykit' but not more than a raft of small changes that add up to a bigger change eventually.

I've heard that gravel is more of an issue for DBS drivers than snow whistle

yes

The bonnet, the boot, the front wings and the door opening surrounds are all made of carbon fibre. The carpets are also made by special thin layers made from carbon fibre. The roof and the doors are made of aluminium. The result is a 30 kg (66 lb) weight reduction from a regular DB9.
