Do you have any other carbon fiber components on the car such as front splitter or rear diffuser? The chrome side strakes on my V12V looked odd against the carbon fiber parts so I changed them. For you, if you haven't then the chrome maybe more appropriate but having said that, I can see how the CF would contrast nicely with silver.

Your choice....... I don't think there's a bad decision with the colours you describe. But if you do, don't forget the obligatory before and after pics. A nice dilemma to have.

I just purchased a V8S with carbon side strakes… and I'm switching them for chrome ones.

Carbon strakes only look good against some colours, you need a bit if contrast IMHO.

The Carbon will go well with a silver car, as a contrast.

The Carbon will also compliment a car with a red roof.

However, what carbon looks like on a car with BOTH ??? Too many colours for my pea brain to cope with yikes

Sounds like you are getting the N420 kit not the N400 one?
If so the side strakes should go well with the CF splitter and diffuser
I decided against them on my S as I like to see the grill reflection on the chrome

I like them in carbon. Going to take them off my V8V (which had the carbon pack fitted) and put them on my V12V.

No.
The OP asked if he should keep the silver ones, or if anyone has seen it.

So you are saying he shouldn't keep the silver ones therefore get the carbon ones? Or you are saying you haven't seen them?

Or is it just a mild display of tourettes. Probably tourettes. More likely than you liking carbon I suppose (yes I get that you like it on race cars).

Kinda makes sense thinking about it wink

edit - my George bashing attempt has failed. It says it in the thread title. Sorry George, until next time!

If you read the title it says "Carbon stakes (sic) yes or no". I replied no.

I never once said I like carbon in racing cars. I said I liked it when it's used for structural or weight saving measures. Used as blingy tat such as side strakes and interior fascias I can't stand it. Looks like it should be on a Corsa parked up in McDonalds car park.

yup, I spotted my error and corrected it, then I see your expansion on the point and I get that warm fuzzy feeling of positivity and tolerance in the world again...
