I can only echo what others have said - it was a fantastic day, great venue, some great cars, and some really nice people! A big thanks to Tony and many of the helpers that made the day possible.

Would like to add my thanks to Tony and everyone that helped run the event. Great location and weather.

The car got us back home to Dorset with a total mileage of 2470, which included going through France, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland and Heaver Castle :-)

Thanks again!

Annother big thumbs up for Tony, great day out. Minor complaint, and Tony you really do need to fix it - can the next event be slightly cooler - know you can organise it! wink
Seriously - great event.
Will drop you a PM about the radio knobs with grooved edges.

Well done Tony!

We decided to make a weekend of it and spent Saturday in Whitstable.
Excellent oysters, whitebait and local beer.

Sunday. Brilliant venue and event and scorching heat. Ours was the only Lagonda and the filthiest car there.

The 'front of the castle' photos were extraordinarily small I'm afraid but having received them from Tony I know that he wants to get this this right for next year. I'd volunteer but will, unfortunately, not be here so if there are any budding photographers out there (with a tripod) then I'm pretty sure that Tony would be pleased to hear from you. The following photos were done at short notice from what I can gather so I'd just like to thank Tony for arranging access to the front of the castle.

The uploaded files shown below are the size in which I received them so I'm afraid larger examples are not available. Done professionally I'm sure that owners would be happy to donate further to good causes in 2012 for a copy of their cars in such a beautiful setting.

Cheers all
Steve

Maybe we could persuade GFWilliams to come along. I believe that he lives about 20 minutes from Hever. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?mem... .

He takes some excellent car photos. http://www.gfwilliams.net/

Just looking through this thread again, really was a very good day out.

Can't help but think we should try and organise another one before the end of the season, maybe early October before the salt goes down?
