Yep - get rid of the plinth, you'll be amazed at the difference it makes to the sleekness of the car.

Very nice and well done by the way clap
+1 to the front plate

The squealing when at low speed & turning is one/both side of the handbrake which has separate calipers and as the car turns the rear subframe flexes and the handbrake cable routing is such that the flex actually pulls the handbrake on, albeit slightly, causing the squeal.

The cable can be rerouted & adjusted to make this go away or at least improve - one of several "features" of the V8V!
Took the car back to the dealer this afternoon and immediately the engineer said it sounded like the handbrake pads. He did some work for 30 mins and the sound did go away, but is creeping back. Re-routing of the cable sounds drastic... Is it?

I had something similar on both of mine
Talking to a senior tech from the factory it is quiet common for the rear pads to harmonically vibrate at low speed giving a squeal
The solution was Plastilube anti squeal compound on the rear pads
It is a blue polymer based anti squeal paste rather than copper based

It's not - in fact in 30 minutes he's probably already done it. It does come & go - I found that gently pulling the handbrake on at speed for a second or so seemed to help - that could however be psychological!

Squealing and groaning back again, so will put it on the niggle list to fix. Checked the rear wheels, and the smaller pads do look like they had fresh blue liquid on the back of them - so I guess that was what they were up to.

I too get a slight rattle when pulling away at low revs, got them to have a look during last service, nothing found. I'd suspect a loose heat shield / bracket somewhere. Never happens any other time btw - I now ignore it. smile
