Congratulations, magnificent car! Might not be a One-77 but it's at least as good as a V12 Zagato!

£300 on mats sounds like a lot to me. I just make do with some rubber mats to keep the carpets clean, wink does the job.

Tracker sounds like a pain. Fortunately my insurance didn't require it. Rural postcode probably helped.

You've got 2013 off to an epic start.

Cracking motor mate, remember its the car that a huge amount of people dream of (including me), so you're very lucky! Enjoy it, come along to some events so we can drool inappropriately.... wink

Actually quite a rare colour.
I have this one on my Register, the car having attended the V12V Owners Day event in April 2011..
Could you possibly post or email your mileage so I can update the record?

Erics, congratulations. looks stunning. Have been following your decision / buying process. OK I admit it, saw the first photo and thought WTF has he bought! smile
Would be good to see you on a few meets, no pressure but avoid any mention of meeting in laybys by AMDBSNICK etc!

Saw a nice V8V yesterday. It's still an absolutely beautiful car in isolation but the V12 is twice the car to me.

Somewhere there's a man writing a cheque for £110,000 for a new V8V... bonkers.

Lovely car biggrin.

Should have negotiated a bit harder and got them thrown in wink. Given the price I now realise why the salesman looked horrified when I said unless they were in I was not doing the deal but I got them!

I went for the cheapest tracker just to appease the insurance company which is no phone/no fob but just activates when I call them and tell them my car has been nicked!
David, could you please elaborate a bit further on the tracker front?

ring the tracker provider direct. When I got my Vantage in 2007, I paid a lifetime fee instead of yearly. It was £320 ish for the life that YOU own the car (not the life of the car) versus £120 a year

may have changed now, but makes more sense if you intend to keep a few years

lovely car BTW, congratulations smile

why cant we have pattern One-77 wheels further down the range....I much prefer their style to the latest wheels

Yes - there is a cheaper option (although only £20 saving - £230 annual fee) but you don't have to carry a fob around or your phone. The tracker is active and insurance are happy but you would need to call the tracker company to notify a theft.

Also no lifetime option was available but I could take the 3 year option at £690 which I declined!

There's a hardly used set of these Aston Martin mats ending on eBay tonight with a start price of only £150. I can confirm they are very good quality (I should know as they're mine!) item number (if allowed) - 290852634570

(I'm not sure what's happened to the aston parts I listed here in the classifieds, they all seem to have disappeared smash )

erics - congrats on the purchase of your fantastic car btw
(the reply received via eBay is from myself, if you want more info feel free to ask but if you do buy there will have to be a compulsory pax ride as part of the deal winkbeer )

spoke to the girl today. You can have a downgraded system from them for a car up to 2010 meaning £225 a year, £440 for 2, £610 for 3 and £970 for 4.
Daylight robbery in my books. But there you go.
