What's all this nonsense got to do with Aston Martin related topics?
I came around here to share information about our cars, lately there seems to be far too much rubbish posted. As far as I am concerned this forum is going down hill rapidly.
Are there no moderators to police the content and keep it on track?

It's all a little bit of fun on a public forum between a few friends. If the title doesn't suit you don't read the thread. Pretty simple don't you think I came around here to share information about our cars, lately there seems to be far too much rubbish posted. As far as I am concerned this forum is going down hill rapidly.

Why don't you start another section on Pistonheads for this rubbish. Then the rest of us could choose not to go there.
It's not just this post, lots of the interesting Aston related posts end up sidetracked with lots of silly posting.
The clue was in the title of the thread. It was obviously not going to be something dull, boring & sensible like "Where do you store the handbook in your car?", so why did you bother to read it & comment on it?!It's not just this post, lots of the interesting Aston related posts end up sidetracked with lots of silly posting.
Silly posting indeed
+1. The thread title should have been sufficient for you to be able to avoid reading such rubbish. Or maybe you wanted to read it so you could make your point?
Unfortunately, this is a forum where thread diversions are many and varied. If that is not acceptable for you then there may be other forums. That said, I think many people learn from people such as yourself that like to have a go at things. Most would not follow your example, myself included, but that doesn't mean there isn't a place for such information here.
So either stick with it for the things that interest you and ignore the rest or perhaps find another forum that better fits your expectations and needs.

I'm truly sorry if I've wasted your valuable time today.I came around here to share information about our cars, lately there seems to be far too much rubbish posted. As far as I am concerned this forum is going down hill rapidly.

But of most interest. Who did you vote for?
Unfortunately for you, this forum has become more than a place to discuss purely dry technical Aston Martin related topics without a trace of humour. It is also a place where like-minded Aston-owning friends congregate and mess about during, or as well as, sharing the details of their ownership experience and whatever else they choose to talk about. It is not a clique; anyone like-minded can join in, meet up, drive out.
What a dull miserable place you would have this turn into. And for what? The convenience of knowing no matter what thread you click on, it will please you? But what if someone posts something bone dry, Aston related, but of no interest to you in particular? What then, a cry to the moderators again?
It is not your forum; it belongs to all of us. The easiest option is just to get used to that

By default the choice would be George (excellent taste in barmaids aside), but I've not heard Nick's gravel story yet, and Pete can't spell Knob, so it's a tough one...
Also, it's only the 23rd, bit early to be calling Of The Month yet, isn't it? Plenty if time for someone to make a right cock of themselves

Ah but you see I can spell knob as proven by the title of the thread. I just can't work out the starting letter in isolation (in my very lame defence I was in a bit of a rush at the time). Also, it's only the 23rd, bit early to be calling Of The Month yet, isn't it? As you say, plenty of time to make a cock of onesself yet. What you doing later today?

I disagree. Think about it and take a look at the usual suspects and regular posters. The rest of us are the unwashed. I've got a coupe so can't join in with the panto horse shenanigans and pillow biting. 8cyls will never get me an I continence bag prescription either. For gods sake, I've never had the opportunity to abandon anyone at the petrol station holding his knobs like "Billy no mates." If only I had chrome rims so some cantankerous old git might talk to me, even if its just to put a gypsy curse on me.
So in a last ditch attempt, Jockman got my vote. I bet he's not even ginger.
I can't see the point in the banter.....
