Will the Virage hold it's value, I'm guessing not

Short term I'd say no. Long term I'd say yes due to it's rarity.

its a Gaydon Aston. made in their thousands. They will all depreciate, and will continue to depreciate.

Except possibly the V12VR due to limited numbers

Good question

Virages have asking prices of mid 90s

Just realised huge typo above ! new DB9 has the new chassis, not virage !

New DB9s starting to appear with low mileages 120-130 but you can buy a brand new unregistered one with a few extras for mid 120s i.e. the same money

I thought the virage made the better buy but I have a mate who drove them back to back and decided the differences in the engine to new db9 were significant enough he wanted the latter

Bearing in mind that unless you are BRing it, I personally don't see these as the most hardcore of sports cars, I'm not sure I agree, certainly for the huge cost difference, but that's what makes the world go round !
Very quickly, I would just like to say how much I enjoy reading (mostly when I should be working) the many and varied threads that appear here on PistonHeads Aston Martin pages. As a long time enthusiast of the marque, I will finally in June take delivery of my first Aston Martin a DB9.2. So, I did say quickly didn't I; Thank you all for making this experience even more enjoyable with the endless stream of Aston Martin related topics, the likes and dislikes, the technical knowledge that is always, on a daily basis, there for me to drink in. This particular thread is especially interesting to me of course,,,,,reading it has provoked this outpouring,,,,again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all. bowcloud9
