Hope it's just the pic -- the overall shape looks good, but I don't like the DBX-like roof at all.

I had one of my creative team look at the picture (good use of company time I know), and he said it looks ridiculously fake. The crease between the door shuttling and the front wing shows a reflection of the white road line on a completely perpendicular angle. Even with some shape in the body panel, the line (and I quote) "wouldn't look that retarded".

Chris.

I quite like the dropped waist look of the DB10 and the chiseled wings. I also quite like the DB10-style headlights (as far as 'modern' headlights go) but I'm not a fan of the Vanquishness of it, if that turns out to be accurate. The back end in particular is too fussy.

I made my comment about the DVLA website showing the number plate on a N/A V12.

Now see that the photo claims to be taken of a DB11, whilst filming a promotional video in Spain.

Perhaps we are looking at the real car.

Having spoken to someone who has already seen the car, that pic of the rear is the final car, absolutely.

They can just stick a plate on a car for a promo vid, plus it was taken from a long way away and has been touched up a little.

Pretty much my thoughts too - I'm not a fan of the design of the new Vanquish, too angular, too fussy and a bit ferrari looking from the back, and this looks very much along the same lines.

Maybe it will grow on me, but certainly doesn't make me swoon like the previous generations did.

Don't worry. The options list is an excellent way to increase the purchase cost. We all fall for that game. If you do not like the contrasting colour of the side roof rails, there will probably be a cost option - Body colour roof rails £1,000.

I expect you have spotted the rear spoiler that dissects the rear lights. Better downforce?

If I'm free on the right date, I may hop over to Geneva and see it when it officially launches. I've always fancied going to the motorshow.

best you book flights now, as they get very expensive nearer the start date

Very Boxster-like? If so, not good.

That's an obvious photo shop. Look at the badge on the bonnet and the grille. They don't line up. The grille looks as if it's from a DB5.

Yep. I agree.

The headlights are pasted on from the DB10 and it's not like Aston would use the same lights across multiple models just to save some money. Oh, wait...

I don't mind newer Aston's being too angular and sharp, makes all the curvaceous older ones more appealing and hopefully will see the older DB7 - early Gaydon cars rise in value in future years.

You have a point. No pun intended.

Spoiler bisecting the rear lights is too Boxster as said above.

Roof pillars a different colour = that Peugeot coupe thing, in my eyes. DBX too, obviously.

Don't worry the new 718 Boxster doesn't have this feature. Aston can have it, spoilers that disect tail lights are so passé biggrin

Perhaps it is the picture but the proportions of the grill looks a bit weird to me. Not sure I will be rushing up to Bristol to see one - when they eventually open!
