Hi I am Mike Hawthorn mate who owns the other Aston Martin 1967 DB6 MK1 In Black & Black. My car is being painted at present and will be restored over the next year with a full engine. I have been told that my car was the 1st db6 to be painted black at the fatory by the last owners and have the build sheet from Aston Martin, But I am not sure that is the case I think that Is probaby told to all new owners including the silver Cars.
My car has had 2 other owners from new and the car was stood up in 1977 in a damp garage and thus not a pritty car when it came home to me in 2005. I am not trying the one up s---t and pleased to see the other DB6 MK2 in black it look grate and I am pleased that I have chosen to keep it as it was.

Yeah that would be cool i also have another booked in tomorrow for a full correction detail so ill post up the write up over the weekend.
The one that i did was a MK2 so it could well be the only one in that colour with that colour trim.
