It is a mixture of good news and bad news, although the good news far outweighs the bad. I have hinted a couple of times in posts over the past three years that my wife hasn't been well. She was seriously ill with cancer and undertook what amounted to almost two years of treatment before, last June, being given the good news that we had waited for. I decided to resign last July and have spent the past 12 months helping her to recover and regain her confidence. She is now well and a few weeks ago I started to look for a new role, to get back to what I do best. The car, one that has to be driven rather than be sat in a garage, managed 9,500 miles in its first year and almost 4,500 in its second. That coincided with the worst part of her illness but, including that period I have only driven the V12V 1500 miles in the past 12 months.
I gave myself an additional two months to find the right role before I would part with my V12V, a car that was intended to be a keeper. Given the state of the market I am yet to achieve that and decided to stay with my decision re the car. There is no immediate replacement planned although I hope to return to the fold once things are sorted out. For anyone brave enough Magma Red is a fantastic colour and I will look for a colour that lifts me again next time. Life is too short to be grey - in every respect. Right now, life couldnt get any better. Yesterday my wife walked around a golf course with me, something that was impossible twelve months ago.

No i really dont like silver cars way to bland.
I really don't think Aston's silvers can be called bland. They're all stunning in the right conditions, but are great for when you don't want loads of attention. Lightning silver for example is fantastic, changes to bluey-purple, but discreet at the same time. Also, is that V12V with the square plate on a UK reg but with US spec bumpers?

Interesting also that KX12JNF (Virage?) next to the V12V - is registered as a DB9 ????
I think you might find that it is actually one of the new DB9's!I found it quite interesting to see just how similar the front of the Virage(or DB9) is to the new Vanquish when lined up alongside each other...

Interesting to see the Virage and the Vanquish have no plate holder at all, which is the way I like to display the plate, but not the way Aston normally do it
