I can't believe how difficult it is to find a taxi in London! I've been walking around for 25 mins trying to find one, finally got one. Just what I needed after a terrible nights sleep in the most overpriced, noisiest travellodge!
Phone one and they arrive immediately to your hotel wink

Actually that's the one in City road. Our office used to be opposite it and we stopped using it as you could never sleep there. And it was always over a £100 a night!
Re taxis - try the ones with the orange light lit on the roof! wink
Or get the tube it really is quicker and cheaper in London

Note to self: do not get so drunk with people you met on an internet forum as you may end at their hotel with absolutely no recollection of what happened drunk

Technically, if we were mean (and we are not of course! ), an awful story could be concocted. Shocking behaviour wink

It wasn't my fault - my wife didn't listen to the whole article! As it is an annual thing she wants me to go back in January frown

Anyway, lovely to meet you all - some again and some for the first time. We should do it again as it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Good afternoon you rabble.
I am feeling pretty good now I have spent the morning on Xmas shopping duty. It's amazing how walking around Knightsbridge sobers you up. I think I should be safe to drive now so will head back to D &D and try to find where I left the car yesterday. I'm sure it's in China town somewhere!
Great day/night guys thanks for the company and all the banter. Or bks as Nick would say

Back in the pub for a quick hair of the dog and a lovely roast dinner.

God knows how much I drank but I think it's the most I've ever had. 11 hours non-stop. Usually 3 - 4 pints is my limit (and I'm drunk before I've finished the first one)

You lot are a bad influence. Once again it was nice to meet you all.

Steve, you also made the mistake of having Peroni! That stuff always gets me pissed quickly.

Although it's a damn sight better than Hot Sake! Will teach me for listening to Yeti.

Just goes to show you how much you depend on Louisa.

I bet you wear slip on shoes when she's not with you wink

Soooo relieved that you came to no harm in that dreadful foreign city where you are now technically a minority smile

It wasn't all easy. I got ripped off by a taxi driver within 10 minutes of arriving in London! I didn't get stabbed though so I thought I did quite well.

Also Steve - I have to compliment your internet stalking skills in the Dog and Duck!
