But surely the banter is the point of wasting so much time on here. If I only wanted to know which wipers, spark plugs, oil, etc I needed I could consult the handbook or Google. Yes it can be a little disheartening when you post a serious question and it goes way o/t before your query is answered but you have to learn to go with it, otherwise this forum would be very dull and would've been over years ago because nearly every question that could be asked has been many times and answered. Try the AMOC forum if you only want aston stuff - not exactly buzzing is it?
It can appear to be a little cliquey when you first join this forum but the people I have met from here have been warm and welcoming and at no time did I feel that was an outsider or "not part of the gang". Yes some people have opinions and post accordingly, others don't have an opinion or anything interesting, funny or constructive to say so we don't hear from them. It doesn't mean that they don't enjoy reading the banter, which on the whole is friendly and good natured between grown ups that can take (or give) a joke.
You should try posting in general gassing or the lounge, what a bunch of insecure arrogant

BTW, I view the banter as the oil that lubricates this forum. A lot of it can be quite intelligent stuff too, making you think of things from a different angle. It's what you do in real life with real people....as BingoBob once said....it's called having a conversation
