Thats good news, glad you got it back. I'd be interested to see the V12 side badges, I might do the same.
For some reason, I don't get the same red glow before pushing in the key, sorry 'emotion control' Sounds great by the way, especially good in a garage.
Really? Make sure you don't put the key all the way in - just to the bare minimum for it to be fully inside. Then if you hold down the clutch it'll glow red. Pretty cool effect actually. I'll take some photos in the morning (in the sun hopefully!) to show you how the badges look. They're the same logo as the "V12" on the back of the car. And of course the new wheel caps.

They're the ones. To me it's like the final finishing touch to the car... But maybe that's because I was used to having the side V10 badges on my R8? kensilver said:
The only brand I've seen that looks good even with a cover over it!
Agreed 100%. As soon as I saw photos of the official indoor cover I knew I had to have it. I know it'll attract just as much attention as the car itself in the car park.My cousin just said it looks like: A BEAST IN A DRESSING GOWN.
I just met up with a pal and introduced him to the V12SR.
I took him out as a passenger first then I let him drive and I followed in his 2011/61 Morning Frost DBS Coupe.
He was absolutely blown away by the Vantage and had a smile from ear to ear when we swapped back and he's a former Ferrari F12 owner too.
The result is that a DBS will go sale tomorrow and a V12S Coupe will replace it.

Is he going to wait for the one with the proper gearbox?

How much commission are you gonna get...?
You can tell the difference in feel between the DBS and V12 Vantage (S) straight away. It's more fun and involving to drive. They practically sell themselves. All you have to do is test drive one and you've basically bought it.

I was offered a measly sum for my beautiful green V12 by a local dealer. I'm not sure if they were looking for a bargain or just aren't sure of the trend on values - but I politely refused. Have to say this would be a part ex value against a V12S Manual order.
Chris.
Was this an official Aston dealer? I was offered around £15k less for my R8 than I knew I could reasonably get from all the dealers and those dreaded car buying websites. Chris.
In the end the independent dealer I bought my R8 from offered to sell it for me and take a cut. He said we should be able to get £18k more than I was offered!
I'm lucky as I don't need the money so can wait for the right price to come. I'd highly recommend using this system to sell if you want the highest price. Selling privately has all sorts of other potential issues to worry about. Finance, insurance, part exchange etc.

You mean America? Are the prices even higher there for the V12V?? I assume the supply is much lower there no?
Hi Yes, I mean the US. Actually I count 7 manual V12Vs within a 500 mile radius with prices ranging from $119 to the one above, which overlaps the lowest priced V12S, also above. Hence my comment that its all over the place.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
